چکیده
Substantiation. Comparing the course of experimental pathological conditions in mice with human pathology requires deep knowledge morphology lungs mice. Although it is advisable to obtain pathomorphological conclusions from an experienced pathologist, reality, this not always possible. Therefore, many scientists have conduct such analysis by themselves. The aim research was study and describe normal lung BALB/c for improved characterization phenotypes experimentally induced lesions. Materials methods. included 10 healthy male mice, 8 weeks old, housed individual unlimited access food water. Animals were euthanized inhalation ethyl ether. necropsy performed tracheal infusion 10% neutral buffered formalin. carried out on paraffin sections 3 μm, part left or one right lobes. Sections stained hematoxylin-eosin, Schiff-iodic acid, according Mallory. Morphology analyzed using a light microscope. Results. applied method euthanasia ether does cause agonal changes lungs. Fixation formalin prevents collapse ensures optimal morphology. For pathology, examine lobe lungs, its longitudinal orientation obtaining sections, which great importance. A blinded way describing microspecimens provide best result. Collagen deposits outer layer are observed around large arteries lungs; goblet cells rare, only bronchi. Bronchus-associated lymphoid tissue (BALT) barely visible Natural mouse pathogens can alter physiology host, making unsuitable purposes, although number prevalence these decreased significantly, them be found laboratory animals undesirable research. Conclusion. Laboratory may suffer background diseases, regardless satisfactory housing conditions, nutrition, should considered design description studies.

A Review of Mycoplasma in Laboratory Mice
Mycoplasma are small, cell-free bacteria enclosed by a membrane. These bacteria belong to the class of Mollicutes, the order of Mycoplasma tales, and the genus of Mycoplasma. There are more than 100 identified species of mycoplasma. The ratio of cytosine to guanine in its DNA is 23–40% and its genome size is 1350–600 kb. Mycoplasma require cholesterol to grow, and the temperature su...
متن کاملStudy of zoonotic bacteria in conventional laboratory mice breeding colonies
To investigate the status of conventional laboratory mice colonies for zoonotic bacteria, three mice colonies, NIH, NMRI and Balb/c strains of Razi institute were studied for five zoonotic bacteria including Pasteurella pneumotropica, Salmonella typhimurium, Salmonella enteritidis, Streptobacillus moniliformis, Streptococcus Pneumonia. Study populations were 74 mice of premature, mature and pos...
متن کاملVitamin D deficiency exacerbates COPD-like characteristics in the lungs of cigarette smoke-exposed mice
BACKGROUND Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is characterized by excessive inflammation and disturbed bacterial clearance in the airways. Although cigarette smoke (CS) exposure poses a major risk, vitamin D deficiency could potentially contribute to COPD progression. Many in vitro studies demonstrate important anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects of vitamin D, but a direct con...
متن کاملStrain variation in the adaptation of C57Bl6 and BALBc mice to chronic hypobaric hypoxia
The interplay of environmental and genetic factors may lead to a spectrum of physiological and behavioral outcomes. How environmental stress factors interact with the diverse mouse genomes is still poorly understood and elucidating the underlying interactions requires specific stress models that can target integrated physiological systems. Here, we employ behavioral tests and whole-body plethys...
